How to download your CSD report (summary report)
Short answer
To get your CSD report, log in to the Central Supplier Database, open Reports, choose Registration Summary, and enter your supplier number and registration reference number. Your supplier number starts with MAAA. The report shows only information that was submitted and verified: tax, bank, directors and B-BBEE. Save or print it for tenders.
Most tenders, municipalities and corporate buyers ask for a current CSD report as proof that you are registered and verified. This guide shows where to find it, how to read it and what to do when a section looks wrong.

On this page
Who needs it
- Any registered supplier who must attach proof of CSD registration to a tender, quotation or supplier application
- Buyers, municipal supply chain staff and private clients who want to check a supplier's CSD number
- Suppliers who want to see exactly what government buyers see about them
Before you start
Tick these off as you gather them.
Step by step
Go to the official CSD site at csd.gov.za and log in with the email address and password you registered with.
Open the Reports menu and choose Registration Summary. This is the name used in National Treasury's user guide. If your menu words it differently, look for the registration or supplier summary report.
Enter your supplier number and your registration reference number. Complete any security check the page shows.
View the report on screen. Read the header first: it shows who ran the report and the date.
Check each section against your records: supplier identification, bank account, tax, B-BBEE and directors or members.
Save or print the report using the options your browser or the report page offers. Name the file with the date, for example CSD-report-3-Nov-2026.
Attach the saved report to your bid or application, together with your supplier number. Run a fresh report if the buyer asks for a recent one.
To check another business, ask them for their supplier number and registration reference number and run the same report. Do not rely on a screenshot or a copied number alone.
Fix a problem
The issues people hit most, and what to do. Each one has its own link you can share.
My CSD report shows my tax status as not compliant
CSD checks your tax status with SARS. A lapsed compliance status, an outstanding return or tax debt will show here. Fix it on SARS eFiling, then update your CSD tax details and wait for CSD to recheck. See tax compliance PIN.
My CSD report shows bank verification failed or verification required
Bank details are verified separately from the rest of your profile. The account holder name and number must match your business exactly. Re-enter the bank details from a fresh bank confirmation letter and complete the one-time PIN (OTP) step. Then run the report again.
My directors show as unverified or do not match CIPC
CSD checks directors and members against CIPC and Home Affairs. A typo in an ID number, a missing director or an old CIPC record causes a mismatch. Correct CSD to match your CIPC documents. If CIPC is outdated, update CIPC first. See beneficial ownership for what CIPC holds.
My B-BBEE section is blank or not verified
CSD does not automatically verify every B-BBEE certificate with the issuing body, and buyers may ask for the document itself. Capture your level or affidavit details on your profile and keep the signed document ready. See B-BBEE affidavit.
My CSD report is empty or says I am not fully registered
The report shows only information that was submitted and verified. If you left sections incomplete or verification is still running, they will not appear. Log in, finish every section, submit, and give verification time. Check your spam folder for the CSD result.
My report shows a restricted supplier flag
Restricted and tender defaulter flags come from the National Treasury lists, not from your own entries. A director who is restricted in another company can also show as restricted on yours. You cannot remove the flag yourself. Contact the institution that restricted the supplier, or CSD support, to ask how to resolve it.
I cannot find my supplier number or registration reference number
Both were sent to you when your registration was verified, so search your inbox and spam for CSD emails. If you can log in, open your supplier details: Treasury's user guide describes a registration report option there that does not ask for the numbers. If you cannot log in, see CSD login problems.
What it costs
| Route | What you pay |
|---|---|
| Run your own report on the CSD | We found no fee listed for registered suppliers. Check the portal. |
| Pay an agent to fetch it | Agents set their own fee. The report is the same one you can run yourself. |
Fixing the problem behind a flagged section (tax debt, wrong bank details) is where real cost sits, not the report.
How long it takes
Running and saving the report takes a few minutes once you are logged in and have your two numbers. Fixes take longer: CSD rechecks tax, bank and director details automatically, and published estimates for verification range from a few days to about two weeks.
When it expires
- A CSD report is a snapshot. It is only as current as the date it was run
- Your tax, bank and director statuses can change after you save the report, so run a new one before each bid
- Update your profile whenever your bank, directors, address or tax details change
What comes next
- Get your tax compliance PIN into Good Standing so the tax section is clean
- Prepare your B-BBEE affidavit to go with the report
- If you cannot get in to run the report, read CSD login problems
